GOODFIT FOUNDERS Bryan & Casey
What is the name of your company?
Goodfit  When was the company founded?
December 2020  Tell us the story of how you brought your company to life.
Like lots of people, Bryan and I were doing a lot of puzzles during the pandemic in 2020. We struggled to find ones with art we actually liked, so tapping into our creative backgrounds we decided to create our own.How did you feel after it launched?
Excited and nervous! It's a big risk to launch your own business and there are always going to be speed bumps along the way.Where do you draw your design inspiration from?
Everywhere - nature, fashion, music, trending aesthetics. We love pulling inspiration from decades past and often find ourselves looking at old magazines or shopping at antique markets. Color is also huge for us - we have a book called Dictionary of Color Combinations that we like referencing when we feel stuck and need a starting point.
Mixtape Puzzle by GOODFIT - framedHow does it feel to be a husband/wife team working together to build a cool company like Goodfit?
It's a lot of fun! We work together well and build ideas off each other. How does it feel to also be representing as a female and AAPI-founded company?
We're proud but it's not the focus of our business - we're just being ourselves and making cool things we like and hope others do too.   Was there a defining moment in your company’s history (so far) when you knew you created something special?
Seeing people's real-time reactions when we do pop-up shops and local markets always gives us that boost and feeling we've created something special. It's the best feeling to have repeat customers and people who know and love our product. What has been the reaction of customers to your brand and products?
Very positive, and being able to hear customer feedback and reactions and what they're looking for in a puzzle often helps us develop new products. At Fruitloots, we call all the amazing products that we find our “loot”. What's your favorite piece of “loot” you have created?
Our new postcard puzzles.Tell us about the Fruitloots product that we have chosen.
'Mixtape' is an ode to the 90s and 2000s, and depicts a pile of 3D rendered playful objects that will take you back to that era.
'Twine' is our favorite puzzle for design lovers, and depicts fluid shapes and gradient colors. It has 208 oversized pieces to be a fun (yet not too difficult) challenge for people of all skill levels.

"Twine" Puzzle by GOODFITWhere do you see your company in 10 years?
We're still pretty small, so we're taking things one step at a time! But we will continue to develop and create puzzles and other objects that bring art into people's everyday lives. We'd love to have our own brick & mortar store one day.If you could do a special collaboration with any person in the world, who would it be and why?
Salvador Dali or Elsa Schiaparelli because with the stresses of the everyday world around us, we could all use a little surrealism and fantasy.Any advice to young entrepreneurs?
There's nothing wrong with throwing ideas at the wall until one sticks.   If you could throw a party, with an unlimited budget and you could invite anyone, tell us about the party and who would be there! It'd have to be a yacht party off the coast of Capri. Rick Rubin would be there, curating the music. We'd fly in the best sushi chefs from Japan to make the nigiri buffet of our dreams.Last question, If you could be any fruit, what would it be and why?
A lychee because they're refreshing and a bit out of the ordinary.
